I'm a complete sucker for a good Fresh 48 session. Well, so far I haven't had a "bad" Fresh 48 so I guess I should say I'm a sucker for a Fresh 48 session in general. The way some of the babies still have ink settled into the deep wrinkles on their feet, the fine fresh baby fuzz on their little backs. Give me all of the brand new babies and let me take their pictures! Especially when they're as sweet as Isabella was.
Last week was a little crazy. My children were off from school on Monday but only until their half day on Thursday. Then they were home until yesterday, Tuesday. So when Thays messaged me on Thursday to let me know she was in labor I was panicking a little bit! My boys didn't have school and while I have two baby sitters, neither was an option. Going to the hospital after my husband got home was out of the question. Relying solely on hospital overhead lighting? No. Way. So as much as I wanted Thays to have a swift delivery, I was hopeful she'd be in the hospital long enough for me to go on Saturday instead. Thank the Goddess because Isabella was born just after midnight. So at 8 am on Saturday morning I made my way into the hospital to meet Thays, Mason and little Isabella.
Isabella had the good sense to dirty her diaper just before I arrived so our session went quite smoothly until this sweet girl realized she hadn't eaten since 5:30 am.
Aaah, look at those tiny, wrinkled feet! All in all, Isabella was a total dream.
Isabella, we're so happy you're here. Thays and Mason, I'm so grateful you welcomed me into such a precious moment in your journey. You two were so sweet, Isabella hit the jackpot for parents.
